About The Position

This role is responsible for a variety of HR functions, with a primary focus on recruitment and employee relations. The Recruiter will source and screen candidates, facilitate interviews, and assist with the onboarding process. Additionally, this position supports employee engagement through event coordination and recognition programs, while also maintaining accurate employee records and assisting with payroll-related tasks. Confidentiality and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.

Requirements

  • One year to three years of similar or related experience.
  • A two-year college degree, or completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
  • Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation.
  • Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
  • Excellent communication is a must.
  • Light lifting required.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit qualified candidates through various sources including ATS, social media, and job fairs. Engage external resources like local chambers and college job boards.
  • Facilitate candidate interviews with hiring managers and assist them in making hiring decisions. Present candidates to HR Manager or HR Director for approval.
  • Assist with the daily administration of recruiting and onboarding, including pre-employment screening, onboarding processes, maintaining job boards, and welcome communications. Coordinate new hire photos and issue employee badges/parking placards.
  • Assist with new employee orientation, presenting assigned HR topics.
  • Administer employee surveys, including 90 Day Touchbase and Exit surveys.
  • Assist with employee relations by coordinating employee events such as annual service awards banquets, retiree luncheons, HR events, and other special employee events. Responsible for employee anniversary recognition and gifts.
  • Crosstrain for payroll processing, payroll audit, and new hire file audit.
  • Maintain employee files, rosters, tracking sheets, etc., for accurate record keeping and retention.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
