PressW is redefining how businesses harness AI by building real systems for real clients. They have shipped over 70 production AI solutions, worked with over 40 clients across seven industries, and delivered over $50M in measurable profit gains. PressW operates in three divisions: Managed AI (an MSP for institutional investors), AI Engineering (embedding teams with clients to build production AI systems), and AI Transformation (handling roadmap and readiness work).

Requirements

  • Proven ability to recruit across a range of roles.
  • Proven track record recruiting across technical functions.
  • Ability to quickly understand role nuances and assess technical fit without being a practitioner.
  • Ability to build targeted sourcing strategies for specialized talent that is rarely looking.
  • Tech literacy: understand the difference between roles like data engineer and applied AI engineer.
  • Proficiency in leveraging modern sourcing workflows.
  • Daily, hands-on use of modern agentic AI stack tools (e.g., Claude, Cowork, ChatGPT) in recruiting.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity and rejection.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Skill in navigating hiring manager friction.
  • Ability to operate well at high outreach volume.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to tell a compelling story about PressW to passive candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting across all roles at PressW.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to define targeted roles from ambiguous, high-level asks.
  • Build deeply targeted sourcing strategies, proactively identifying and pursuing specific individuals.
  • Act as the first point of contact for candidates, managing the process with urgency and care, ensuring same-day follow-up and clear next steps.
  • Drive offers end-to-end, including extension, negotiation, and closing.
  • Protect the hiring bar by filtering candidates effectively.
  • Utilize the agentic AI stack hands-on for sourcing, screening, and closing.
  • Identify opportunities for automation within the recruiting process and share best practices.
  • Manage pipeline data in Ashby (ATS).
  • Provide data-driven insights for calibration conversations.
  • Identify and address funnel problems early.
  • Build the first version of the internal recruiting playbook, including interview loops, scorecards, and interviewer training.
