About The Position

As a Recruiter at Crossroads YMCA, you will be at the center of building and supporting a mission-driven workforce. You will partner closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and help attract individuals who align with our values of inclusivity, service, and community impact. This role is fast-paced, people-focused, and highly collaborative, with a strong emphasis on delivering a positive experience for every candidate. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening to interviewing and presenting candidates. Ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance throughout the process. Success in this role requires comfort working with multiple priorities, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for connecting people to meaningful work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Experience in recruiting or a related talent acquisition role
  • Knowledge of recruitment best practices and employment law compliance
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to inclusion and serving diverse communities
  • Ability to relate effectively to people of all backgrounds and experiences
  • Proven experience as a recruiter or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and employment laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming workplace.
  • Ability to relate and communicate effectively with diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers to define staffing needs and recruitment strategies
  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, and other channels
  • Review applications, conduct interviews, and evaluate qualifications and organizational fit
  • Present qualified candidates and support interview coordination and decision-making
  • Provide timely and respectful communication to candidates throughout the hiring process
  • Promote and support diversity, equity, and inclusion in all recruitment activities
  • Maintain accurate candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Support onboarding processes to help new hires transition successfully
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies
