About The Position

Baystate Interpreters is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Recruiter - Language Services to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in sourcing, engaging, and onboarding highly qualified freelance interpreters across a wide range of languages and specialties, including medical, legal, educational, and community settings.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher, or equivalent professional experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or staffing preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates.
  • Strong proficiency using LinkedIn, including candidate sourcing, outreach, and talent pipeline development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities effectively in a fast-paced recruiting environment.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and data management skills with attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter or similar sourcing tools preferred.
  • Familiarity with the interpreting or language services industry, including medical, legal, or community-based interpreting, is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Source and recruit interpreters proficient in multiple languages for onsite, virtual, over-the-phone (OPI), and video remote (VRI) assignments.
  • Screen candidates through phone or virtual interviews and application reviews to assess language proficiency, qualifications, and certifications.
  • Assist candidates in the onboarding process, including document collection, verification, and compliance checks (e.g., HIPAA, background checks).
  • Maintain accurate candidate records using our internal recruitment platform.
  • Foster strong relationships with current interpreters and keep them engaged for future opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Scheduling and HR teams to understand language needs and ensure recruitment goals are met.
