About The Position

Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is seeking an individual to join our five-person Human Resources team primarily focusing on college student recruitment and campus outreach activities. This team member will serve as the HR point of contact for approximately 40-50 student employees throughout a calendar year and support company-wide HR activities, initiatives, and projects.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to train and present to small and large groups of employees.
  • Strong planning and organizational abilities with a high level of attention to detail & consistency.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to set and manage priorities while working with limited direction.
  • Able to work well both independently and with others.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills with ability to learn/use various software applications.
  • Ability to work onsite at our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI.
  • Able to travel approximately 15-20 days per year. Primarily day trips to local campuses.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior professional experience in a recruiting or human resources role preferred.
  • Basic understanding of the recruiting and human resources functions.
  • Working knowledge of UKG Pro and Work Force Management or similar HRIS products.
  • Understanding and prior experience with MS suits (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc..)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with managers to define student staffing needs and job requirements.
  • Coordinate the student recruitment process (postings, screening, scheduling, offers).
  • Conduct student new hire onboarding (paperwork, background checks, orientation, check ins).
  • Partner with college/university career departments, faculty, administrators and student organizations to promote X-ES through events, sponsorships and scholarships.
  • Plan and organize career fair activities including training interview teams and fair attendees.
  • Maintain and analyze student recruitment data as well as retention/conversion to full-time data.
  • Meet with managers to monitor student performance and assess retention opportunities.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the student employee program and present recruitment results as well as any recommendations for improvements to the management team.
  • Complete end of employment processing and exit interviews.
  • Plan special events and engagement opportunities for student employees.
  • Support HR Generalist activities, initiatives, and projects as assigned by HR Manager.
