About The Position
Pleasant View Communities is a Life Plan Community located in Manheim, Pa. They are seeking a Healthcare Activities Assistant who is passionate about their work and dedicated to providing high-quality services. The role focuses on implementing recreational programs, monitoring resident needs, and assisting with various administrative and supervisory tasks within a 34-bed Long Term Care unit.
Requirements
- College degree or activity related certification preferred
- Desire to work with the senior population
- Strong interpersonal skills with awareness for dignity, respect, compassion and safety
- Dementia care experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Implementation of recreational programs
- Monitor resident needs, preferences, and attendance
- Clinical Paperwork (care plans, assessments, progress notes)
- Calendar creation/prep and implementation of structured activities for a 34 bed LTC unit
- Assist with supervision, training, and overseeing activity staff
