Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehab is seeking a PRN Recreational Therapist for the Baylor Grapevine Day Neuro Clinic. The program helps patients achieve their highest level of independence and reintegrate into the community after acquired brain injuries and spinal cord injuries. Patients may have multidisciplinary comorbidities, including aphasia, cognitive-communication impairments, motor speech disorders, dysphagia, impaired mobility, gait, balance and coordination deficits, weakness, decreased endurance, spasticity, abnormal tone, postural instability, and other neuromuscular impairments. Patients receive comprehensive, team-based care and may participate in up to six hours of therapy per day, Monday through Friday. The position is PRN and calls for consistent coverage several days a week. The posting lists typical hours between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and also states that weekend-shift availability is required; flexibility to pick up weekday shifts is a plus.
