Recreational Skate Coach

The SkatesideLos Angeles, CA

About The Position

THE SKATESIDE is more than a skate program — we build confidence, character, and community through skateboarding and roller skating. We’re growing rapidly across Los Angeles and are looking for reliable, positive individuals who want to make a real impact in kids’ lives. We are hiring Recreational Skate Coaches to lead beginner-friendly sessions for youth (ages 4–14). You do NOT need to be an expert skater. What matters most is your attitude, energy, and ability to connect with kids. If you’re positive, patient, and coachable — we’ll train you. At THE SKATESIDE , we believe skateboarding is more than a sport—it’s a powerful tool for personal growth and transformation. Founded by passionate skaters with a mission to inspire more kids to skate, our program has positively impacted over ten thousand children since 2015. Our approach goes beyond teaching skateboarding and roller-skating skills. We focus on building character, confidence, and resilience . Through guided instruction and mentorship, kids develop essential life skills like problem-solving, perseverance, and self-discipline—all while having fun in a safe, supportive environment. We collaborate with municipalities, schools, and families to create enriching programs that foster self-awareness, mental well-being, and a sense of community. Our lessons are tailored to align with each child’s age and developmental needs, ensuring that every participant feels empowered and motivated to succeed on and off the board. As a team member, you’ll be part of a program that changes lives, one kickflip at a time. You’ll witness firsthand the transformations in kids as they overcome challenges, gain confidence, and discover their potential. Together, we help children become not just better skaters, but stronger, more capable individuals ready to face the world. If you’re passionate about making a difference and believe in the transformative power of skateboarding, THE SKATESIDE is the place for you. Let’s inspire the next generation—one push, one trick, and one child at a time.
