About The Position
Recreational therapists, under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, are assigned to evaluate and treat patients to achieve maximum level of leisure independence. Patients seen have a variety of limitations and the therapists use their skills to assist patients to their full rehabilitation potential.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts Recreational Therapy
- NCTRC - National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification or CBRPC - California Board of Recreation and Park Certification/Licensure
- BLS - Basic Life Support - Certification
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients to achieve maximum level of leisure independence.
- Assist patients to their full rehabilitation potential using therapeutic skills.
