Providence Living is a non-profit Catholic-sponsored health care organization focused on long-term care, assisted living, housing, and other community services to support residents and their family members. Reporting to the Director, Site Operations, the Recreation Therapist Supervisor develops and delivers recreation and leisure programs and services at Central City Lodge by providing therapeutic recreation and leisure interventions that address the specific needs of residents either one-on-one and/or in group settings. Participates in a collaborative team process with referring physician(s) and other medical professionals to develop comprehensive care plans that support the mental, physical, social and spiritual well-being of residents. Performs detailed assessments and planning, creating and coordinating the delivery of individual recreation care plans. Evaluates, interprets and documents initial and revised goals and outcomes, monitors responses to individual and group interventions, and maintains records to evaluate effectiveness of interventions. Provides work direction, supervision and training and orientation to program coordinators and volunteers delivering recreation and leisure services at Central City Lodge. Supports the development of policies and standards and participates in quality improvement initiatives. May be required to transport residents between the resident and other locations by operating a passenger or wheelchair access transport van as required. All staff have a part to play in preventing adverse events and in promoting safety for residents and staff by being aware of and adhering to all policies and procedures including promptly reporting any risks or safety concerns relating to resident or staff safety.
