About The Position

We are looking for a creative and energetic individual who is passionate about providing fun, safe, and engaging recreational experiences for youth. This position plays a key role in planning, coordinating, and leading County-wide recreation programs, including weekly summer camps, while supervising staff, volunteers, and participants. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.
• Knowledge of computer programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and the ability to learn the RecTrac system.

Nice To Haves

• An associate degree is preferred.
• Experience working in a school setting and/or managing child care programs is preferred.
• Knowledge of community first aid and safety with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Medication Administration Training (MAT).

Responsibilities

• Assists with the development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreation programs for assigned populations; engages in problem-solving activities as needed.
• Assists with organizing activities, procuring materials and supplies, recruiting participants, preparing and distributing promotional information, and securing community support.
• Assists with preparing and implementing budget recommendations for activities as assigned.
• Prepares and maintains program documentation as required by the Parks & Recreation Department.
• Assists with inventory management for the Division as needed.
• Produces activity reports and other reports and projects as needed.
• May drive a County vehicle.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
