About The Position

The Village of Glendale Crossing has an exciting opportunity for a Recreation Team Member to join their team. This is a part-time, unscheduled position located at 3030 Singleton Ave, London ON. The role involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting residents in the village, working every other weekend, and displaying a caring and respectful attitude toward residents, families, and team members. The hiring rate for this role is $18.75 per collective agreement/employee association agreement. Nice To Haves

  • Diploma or degree in recreation/leisure studies and/or gerontology from a community college or university
  • Skills in collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to support a holistic recreational program
  • Experience facilitating group activities and programs
  • Proficiency documenting residents’ participation, engagement and holistic wellbeing in programs and 1:1 activities
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to work in collaboration with a team
  • Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of customer service to our residents
  • Knowledge of the five domains in Therapeutic Recreation that contribute to an individual’s health
  • Knowledge of recreational therapy practices, methods, techniques and opportunities to improve resident’s well-being and holistic health
