The Recreation Specialist for the Recreation Department Community Affairs & Marketing Division is responsible for supporting the Division Chief and the division Coordinators with the production and execution of various community events, departmental marketing and sponsorship initiatives, and for implementing Culture, Arts & Pride Commission (CAP) programs. This role involves assisting with marketing, community events, sponsorship, and cultural activities. Key responsibilities include facilitating event permit processing, supervising CAP projects and programs, participating in event execution (including Farmers Market days), responding to park-use and permit inquiries, writing and updating various documents, maintaining records, assisting with promotional material production and distribution, updating websites, greeting the public, assisting with registration and payments, and aiding with special projects.
