About The Position

Develops and implements activity therapy treatment plans. This is a full-time, variable shift position working 32 hours per week. The exact hours are to be determined - 8-hour shifts with a rotating weekend schedule. Must have a bachelor's degree in behavioral health or related field. Need to have the ability to lead engaging recreational and leisure therapy groups, work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members, and maintain a therapeutic, supportive approach when working with behavioral health patients.

Responsibilities

• Conducts patient assessments and establishes recreational/leisure therapy treatment goals.
• Evaluates each patient's progress and the effectiveness of recreational/leisure therapy interventions.
• Coordinates therapeutic recreational/leisure activities for both large and small groups. Observes patient response and encourages socialization.
• Provides patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic recreational/leisure activities in the community.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
