Recreation Specialist - Youth Sports
About The Position
This role will coordinate activities of paid and volunteer recreation service personnel for youth sports. Requirements
- Two years of related experience and/or training
- High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid state issued driver’s license
- Ability to obtain CPR certification and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Word or similar software.
Responsibilities
- Develops and promotes recreation programs, including social recreation and games.
- Adapts recreation programs to meet needs of the department and the community.
- Introduces new program activities, equipment, and materials to staff.
- Interprets recreation service to public and participates in community meetings and organizational planning.
- Works in team with other recreation personnel to ensure that recreation is well balanced, coordinated, and integrated.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
