This is an entry-level position within the Parks and Recreation Department, focusing on Russian Jack Spring and Centennial Campground Operations. The role involves providing leadership and functional supervision to participants in recreation facilities and programs. Responsibilities include organizing and cleaning facilities according to the operation manual, and managing participant registration and admission. This position may require working outdoors in inclement weather and rugged terrain. It is distinguished from higher classification levels by its lack of managerial responsibilities. These are seasonal, part-time positions, working approximately 32 hours per week, with an expected duration of six months. Employees initially hired will be placed at Step 3 of the pay grade, with advancement to the maximum step occurring through successive steps. Remote work schedule opportunities may be considered after successful completion of probation, at the discretion of management and with department head approval, though not all positions are eligible. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. as the Municipality of Anchorage cannot provide sponsorship.
