About The Position

The City of Roseville is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Recreation Program Leader to join our Sports Section. This role will assist with the day-to-day operations of the new Placer Valley Soccer Complex, as well as other sports programming and facility coordination. The ideal candidate will have experience leading staff to successfully operate athletic facilities and programs, possess excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and have a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This position requires availability for evening and weekend hours. The Parks, Recreation & Libraries team aims to enhance lives and the community by providing exceptional experiences.

Requirements

Two (2) seasons of paid experience in administering and coordinating recreation programs or a related field.
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade, GED, or higher level degree.
Possession of a valid California driver’s license by date of appointment.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, CPR and First Aid certificates within six (6) months of hire.

Nice To Haves

Possession of a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certificate by date of appointment.
Possession of American Red Cross Title 22 First Aid for Public Personnel and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certificates by date of appointment.
Possession of a current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or equivalent certificate by date of appointment.
Advanced First Aid or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

Assisting with the day-to-day operations and leadership of the Placer Valley Soccer Complex.
Facilitating field rental permits and allocation processes for sports organizations.
Coordinating adult and/or youth sports leagues and tournaments.
Assist with leading the Placer Valley Soccer Complex concessions operations.
