Requirements

Working and supervisory experience with recreation operations
Working with people with developmental disabilities and older adult populations
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work

Nice To Haves

Valid Iowa Driver’s License preferred
May be required to obtain a Class D Chauffeur License

Responsibilities

Leads scheduled programs for people with disabilities and older adults
Adheres to and enforces all disability program rules and regulations
Maintains order and cleanliness of program’s facilities
Participates in scheduled activities along-side participants
Communicates and gives direction to volunteers and participants
Maintains discipline and oversees events at a recreation facility
Sets up before and cleans up after an event
Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with City policies, procedures, and safety practices
Attends work regularly at the designated place and time
Supports continuous process improvement initiatives
Performs related work as required.
