Under direction, plans, schedules and supervises ongoing activities of staff performing work in multiple areas of maintenance and construction related disciplines and supervises similar work performed by outside contractors. Performs related work as required. Supervision may be exercised over union personnel through foremen and or non-union clerical and technical staff. Work involves regular contact with other departments, divisions, residents, and contractors. When assigned as Operations Supervisor for the Recreation Department: Coordinates maintenance and ensures operational readiness of recreation facilities including clubhouses, pools, courts, and common area amenities, and oversees pool facility operations in coordination with the pool technician to ensure compliance with applicable health and safety standards. Directly supervises a General Maintenance Worker and Senior Facilities Pool Technician, including assigning, scheduling, and prioritizing daily work based on operational needs and staffing capacity. Monitors work progress and ensures timely follow up on maintenance activities and conducts regular check-ins and performance evaluations for assigned staff. Coordinates with internal departments and contractors to resolve maintenance and operational issues specific to recreation facilities. Conducts routine inspections of facilities and equipment, documents deficiencies, and coordinates corrective action. Communicates with residents, management, and staff regarding maintenance schedules, service interruptions, and overall facility conditions related to recreation areas.
