About The Position

The City of La Vista is looking for an energetic, organized Recreation Manager to lead its athletic programs and create great experiences for athletes, families, coaches, officials, and the community. This role involves coordinating youth and adult leagues, managing athletic special events, overseeing fields, schedules, equipment, and concessionaire contracts. The manager will also recruit, train, schedule, and supervise part-time staff, officials, and volunteers. Building relationships with participants, families, coaches, partners, and community organizations is key, as is promoting programs to grow participation. Responsibilities also include managing registrations, program data, budgets, and day-to-day operations, while bringing new ideas to enhance La Vista's athletic programs.

Requirements

• Three years of relevant recreation or athletics experience.

• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
