About The Position

This part-time position involves performing park maintenance for County parks and facilities, primarily at Creekside or West Craven Parks. The role assists with park maintenance during the Spring, Summer, and Fall months. Responsibilities include keeping park areas clean of trash and debris, sanitizing and cleaning bathrooms, preparing and maintaining athletic fields for games and tournaments, mowing and trimming fields and common grounds. The position requires willingness to work evenings and weekends, and involves regular contact with the general public. The role also requires the ability to work special events and programs as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid NC Driver's license.
• Ability to perform strenuous work under varying weather conditions including hot outdoor environments.
• Ability to exercise tact with the general public.
• Ability to lift equipment, paint, and line marking equipment up to 75 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating mowing and field maintenance equipment preferred.

Responsibilities
