The City of Bellflower is seeking motivated individuals for Recreation Leader (Part-Time) positions to join the City's dynamic Parks and Recreation team. There are currently multiple vacancies for part-time Recreation Leader positions. These positions will support the Oak Center, Bellflower's future multi-generational community center serving teens and senior citizens. The facility is currently under construction and is anticipated to open in late 2026. Leading up to the opening of the facility, the incoming Recreation Leader positions will assist Program Coordinators with leading teen and senior programming that will be scheduled at the facility and offering some programming at other locations until the Oak Center opens. This recruitment will close on Monday, September 14, 2026, or when 100 qualified applications are received, whichever occurs first. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply immediately. Applicants appearing best qualified based upon a review of the application and responses to supplemental questions will be invited to participate in the testing process. Interviews are tentatively scheduled for Friday, September 18, Monday, September 21, and Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
