This is a year-round position where candidates will be assigned based on need and availability. Under general supervision, performs various tasks and assignments to lead and assist in the implementation of recreation programs and activities. Supervises programs conducted in the Parks and Recreation facilities. Supervises children in a day care setting during before and after school hours. Serves on committees to plan and implement programs, events and activities. Performs routine administrative tasks to complete required paperwork. Work locations include Booker T. Washington, Mack Benn Jr., Oakland, Creekside, & Northern Shores Recreation Centers where staff work a split shift for before care (6:15am-9:15am) & after care (3:30pm–6:15pm). Kings Fork Recreation Center staff work 1:30pm-6:15pm. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily.
