Recreation Facility Operator
About The Position
As part of the Department of Community & Leisure Services, the City of Humboldt is currently seeking to fill one (1) permanent, full-time Recreation Facility Operator position. Under the direction of the Arena Supervisor or designate, this position supports operations within the arena and related event facilities. Key responsibilities include performing all aspects of ice maintenance such as operating the ice resurfacer, ice making, and ice repair. The role also involves janitorial duties, including cleaning dressing rooms, seating areas, and washrooms. In addition, the position assists with event set-up and take-down, and supports parks operations including grass cutting, tree maintenance, and general park upkeep. The position may also provide assistance to other City departments as operational needs arise.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or GED
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check

- Pesticide Applicator Certificate
