About The Position

Long Creek, located in Ridgedale, Missouri, offers a resort setting on Table Rock Lake with 108 guest units. The Recreation Coordinator helps create enjoyable and memorable experiences for guests of all ages by facilitating recreation programs and activities. The role includes leading classes and events, promoting activities, evaluating programs, and providing attentive guest service. The position requires working outdoors in all climates and communicating with individuals and groups, including through use of a microphone.

Requirements

• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic desktop publishing applications.
• Ability to work outdoors in all climates.
• Excellent guest relations skills.
• Ability to interact with people of all age groups.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English to perform job requirements and communicate with coworkers, guests, and owners.

• Previous customer service experience.

• Knowledge of a wide variety of recreation activities and programs, including their development and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily recreational programs and activities for all age groups based on guest interests, resort requirements, and seasonal opportunities.
• Prioritize and instruct classes, activities, and events, including special events, holiday programs, competitions, mixers, and other group activities.
• Monitor and evaluate recreation program content and prepare promotional communications, such as flyers, handouts, and postings.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and participation, and identify ideas to enhance programs.
• Provide outstanding service to owners, members, and guests by answering inquiries, providing information, and solving general problems.
• Communicate positively with small and large groups during programs and activities, including using microphones for entertainment.
