About The Position

The RAC Staff supports the daily operations of the Recreation and Aerobics Center by addressing facility needs and welcoming guests at the front desk. All RAC personnel will have the chance to participate in the organization, execution, and promotion of all RAC activities.

Requirements

High school education completion required
Ability to demonstrate safe use as well as proper techniques of weight equipment required.
Ability to handle cash with accuracy and integrity.

Nice To Haves

Experience in principles, procedures of recreational & sport activities preferred.
Strong social skills to collaborate effectively in a team and appreciate cross-cultural interactions.
Shows strong work ethic, initiative, and reliability, managing tasks with attention to detail and contributing positively to the team.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with gym, program, event or league related software preferred.

Responsibilities

Welcome and orient visitors to the RAC and SWBTS campus, explaining facility guidelines and encouraging participation in recreational activities.
Oversee the safe use of the gym, weight room, aerobics room, and all areas managed by the RAC, enforcing RAC rules and regulations to ensure safety for all users.
Monitor RAC events, promptly report any safety concerns or incidents to RAC leadership, and if necessary, engage in conversations to handle disputes and enforce campus/RAC policies.
Support RAC leadership in organizing, leading, and promoting all RAC-sponsored programs and activities.
Provide excellent customer service by answering and monitoring the RAC email, phone, and calendar.
Effectively communicate with instructors, referees, or others, providing support as needed for their activities and classes.
Handle and process sales for RAC’s concessions, memberships, and rentals.
Assist with cleaning, organizing, and inventorying RAC facilities and supplies.
Perform additional duties as assigned, in alignment with the needs of the facility and area of responsibility.
