About The Position

Assist Senior Center Manager in coordinating planning, organizing and implementing various senior recreational programs and activities to meet the needs of the senior citizen population in the community. This is a part-time position working less than 20 hours a week during the day when the Senior Center is open.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months experience providing one-on-one contact with customers/patrons.
• A current CPR/First Aid-Certification or the ability to obtain certification required.
• Valid Texas Driver's License required.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the facility providing information about congregate meal program, classes, and scheduled events.
• Prepare reports, counts and statistical information for the Senior Center and Meals on Wheels.
• Prepare facility for use for lunches, programs and classes, including set-up table/chairs and other equipment as needed.
• Serve prepared meals to participants and assist with cleanup.
• Answer telephone and provide information in a professional manner. Address questions and complaints from participants or direct to proper person to address complaint.
• Be knowledgeable about all schedules, events, programs and city contacts.
