About The Position

Under general supervision, this position provides patron services within assigned program or facility areas. This position performs duties deemed to be safety sensitive. Employees holding this position participate in pre-employment and random drug testing under Town’s policies. Requirements

  • Must be at least Eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Possession of or the ability to obtain a CPR/First Aid certification upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of experience with children or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience performing general cleaning and facility maintenance tasks preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs front-line, day-to-day services in any combination of the following divisions: Childcare, Climbing Wall
  • Maintains order and overall control in assigned program area; monitor participants within program area.
  • Monitors and maintains the overall appearance and functionality of facilities, venues, and program areas to provide safe conditions for patrons and staff; performs maintenance tasks, remedies safety concerns, and communicates any issues to a supervisor.
  • Ensures all required documentation is completed.
  • Assists with opening, closing, and inventory procedures as needed.
  • Responds to emergency situations and assists in the evacuation of program area.
  • Accurately completes incident reports as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with Town and Departmental policies and procedures.
  • Reports suspected abuse cases to supervisor and the appropriate governing bodies.
  • Assists in setting up and tearing down tables, chairs, A/V equipment, sports, or recreation equipment for events, programs, and rentals.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Maintains adult/child ratios and finds coverage for any missed shifts.
  • Performs safety orientations and ensures all climbing wall users are classified and capable of climbing.
  • Performs instruction in safe and proper climbing wall use, assists climbers during supervised climbing times.
