About The Position
The Parks and Recreation Department's Recreation Attendant - Facilities position is a year-round part-time position (no benefits) with a preferred hiring rate of $16.44 per hour. As a Recreation Attendant in Facilities, you’ll play an important role in creating safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experiences for everyone who visits our Parks & Recreation facility. In this customer-focused position, you’ll greet and assist patrons, answer questions about programs, services, and events, and help connect community members with the resources they need. You’ll also help keep daily facility operations running smoothly by processing payments, issuing receipts, balancing daily cash, maintaining records, and using office equipment and computer systems. From promoting upcoming events to monitoring facility activity and helping maintain clean, organized spaces, your work will directly support a positive experience for guests of all ages.
Requirements
- Completion of the tenth grade
- Minimal experience in a customer service position
- At least 16 years of age
- CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications required within the first three months of employment
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be used to meet this requirement
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays
