About The Position

The City of Auburn Hills' Recreation Department aims to enhance the quality of life by offering diverse year-round programs, special events, and facilities for all ages and abilities. This position supports full-time Recreation Program Coordinators by co-coordinating, planning, and implementing activities. It's a flexible role involving various programs and facilities across the city, requiring a team player attitude and a willingness to assist the department.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must meet City driving history requirements to drive a city vehicle.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be safety conscious.
  • Must have ambition and a hardworking attitude.
  • Must be customer service driven.
  • Must be willing to assist the Recreation Department to the best of their abilities.
  • Subject to a nicotine test in the final step of the hiring process.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in planning events, classes, and programs.
  • High School or College graduate with relative professional experience.
  • Passion for the City of Auburn Hills.

Responsibilities

  • Support programs, classes, and events by co-coordinating, planning, and implementing activities.
  • Assist full-time Recreation Program Coordinators.
  • Work with a variety of programs in various facilities throughout the city.
  • Serve the public and meet their needs in a positive way.
  • Perform work safely, properly, and with attention to detail.

Benefits

  • Pay Rate: $14.50 - 15.50 per hour depending on qualifications
