About The Position

Assists with Pueblo County youth and adult programs and special events at Pueblo County Community Centers and recreational areas throughout the year. The Recreation Aide is responsible for individuals in an assigned program area and supports participation in activities as directed by a supervisor. This posting may be used to fill multiple openings.

Requirements

• Must successfully pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience with recreational activities is preferred.
• For preferred qualifications, relevant education, training, and/or experience may be considered as substitutions or in combination, including specific experience or skill-based qualifications and supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation of programs and events.
• Establish positive rapport with program participants.
• Conduct inventory of recreational equipment and supplies and provide maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain accurate records and scorekeeping.
• Assist with monitoring the day-to-day operations of recreational programs and centers.
• Prepare recreation programs and special events.
• Maintain the cleanliness of Community and Recreation Centers.
• Perform other duties appropriate or necessary to the job.
