About The Position

This Recreation Aid position is located in the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Division at McAlester Army Ammunition Plant. The incumbent issues tools, equipment, and games to authorized customers; assists patrons and schedules use of courts, lanes, and equipment in a recreation facility; provides facility and program information; and assists with simple repairs and maintenance. Work may take place in various facilities based on customer demand or programmed activities. Other duties may be assigned.

No experience or education qualification is required. Applicants must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements, and submit a resume of two pages or less. Highly preferred experience includes cleaning and repairing Outdoor Recreation equipment such as boats and RV campers, and handling cash, including end-of-shift balancing. This experience must be listed on the resume to receive credit.

The position is open to candidates who live within a 50-mile radius of McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, including eligible Military Spouse Preference and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference candidates. Direct deposit and a Social Security card are required. A one-year probationary period may be required. The incumbent must complete employment verification and applicable pre-employment checks; a Tier 1 background investigation may also be required for a Common Access Card used for facility access.
