About The Position

This is a flexible Recreation Aid position at the Auto-Hobby Shop on Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Fort Eustis, Virginia. The position has no guaranteed hours and may involve holidays, nights, weekends, and on-call work. The role assists with the operation and maintenance of the auto complex and supports patrons using the facility.

Requirements

No experience is required; cash-handling experience is desirable.
Complete a favorable pre-employment physical and meet physical lifting requirements.
Frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
Be able to complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries satisfactorily.
Pass a background investigation with favorable results.
Submit to random drug testing as this is a drug-testing-designated position.
Provide REAL ID-compliant identification, or an authorized combination of identity documents, for base access.
Applicants must meet applicable qualification, eligibility, and background requirements.

Responsibilities

Greet customers courteously and professionally and assist with inquiries.
Operate a cash register.
Schedule bays for customer use and suggest tools based on the work being performed when required.
Assist with inventory.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Open and close the facility as required.
Ensure patrons follow established safety policies.
Take parts orders from patrons.
Operate vehicles in the course of daily duties.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
