About The Position
The Recovery Technician provides direct care, supervision, and support to clients in a residential substance use treatment program. This position helps maintain a safe and supportive environment while encouraging clients to participate in treatment and develop the skills needed for successful recovery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with individuals in substance use recovery.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Negative drug screen and acceptable background check.
Responsibilities
- Supervise clients and monitor their behavior, safety, and participation in programming.
- Encourage compliance with program rules, schedules, and treatment expectations.
- Provide guidance and support with daily living skills and recovery education.
- Document client activities, behaviors, progress, and incidents.
- Communicate client concerns and updates to supervisors and treatment staff.
- Assist with crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
- Maintain facility safety, security, and confidentiality.
- Assist with client transportation and medication procedures as authorized.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and required documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
