About The Position
Volunteers of America Mid-States (VOA) is a non-profit group that works in four states, helping people and communities by offering important services. They provide housing for families, veterans, and low-income seniors, support people with developmental disabilities, offer restorative justice programs, and give free HIV testing and education. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Must pass background check and driver record check.
- Minimum of 1 year of sobriety.
Responsibilities
- Transporting program participants to and from various locations as needed, including court, doctor’s appointments, program activities, and treatment.
- Covering duties inside the Recovery Community Center, such as helping to set up for events and monitoring day-to-day operations.
- Providing transportation for clients.
- Providing childcare.
- Maintaining operational control of the facility in the absence of senior staff.
- Ensuring client’s compliance with Volunteers of America policies and rules.
- Maintaining van sign-in/sign-out log.
- Monitoring clients in the van and facility and their behavior.
- Completing required documentation.
- Attending training and supervision.
- Observing and reporting maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Performing Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) duties as assigned by supervision & PQI Committee.
