We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Recovery House Coordinator in Erie, PA to support individuals participating in recovery housing programs. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe, structured, and recovery-focused living environment while promoting accountability, engagement, and successful transitions in recovery. The Recovery House Coordinator assists with daily house operations, admissions, discharges, transportation, resident supervision, and recovery support services. This position serves as a key resource for residents while ensuring compliance with program standards and fostering a positive recovery community.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Knowledge of addiction recovery principles and behavioral health practices
  • Ability to build rapport while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle crisis situations and conflict resolution
  • Strong organization, documentation, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with sound judgment
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards
  • Experience supporting diverse populations with respect and dignity
  • Frequent standing, walking, and communication
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs (rarely up to 50 lbs)
  • Ability to bend, stoop, climb stairs, and perform routine physical tasks
  • Candidates should be comfortable working with individuals experiencing substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and crisis situations.
  • Local travel may be required.
  • Candidates selected for hire must successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and any required state-mandated clearances. Employment is contingent upon meeting all screening requirements in compliance with federal, state, and accrediting‑body regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree or coursework in Human Services, Behavioral Health, Social Services, or Addiction Studies preferred
  • Experience in substance use treatment, recovery services, or residential programs preferred
  • Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS), Certified Peer Specialist (CPS), or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive recovery housing environment
  • Monitor and enforce house rules, curfews, and program expectations
  • Support resident participation in treatment, recovery meetings, and community services
  • Assist with admissions, orientations, and room assignments
  • Coordinate resident discharges, including aftercare planning and transportation
  • Facilitate house meetings, peer support activities, and conflict resolution
  • Conduct and document drug screenings per protocol
  • Monitor medication self-administration in compliance with policies
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Support facility cleanliness, safety, and upkeep
  • Identify and report resident concerns, behavioral issues, and safety risks
  • Provide transportation support as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Complete required trainings and certifications
