Recovery Support Technician
About The Position
Volunteers of America Mid-States (VOA) is a non-profit group that works in four states. We help people and communities by offering important services. We provide housing for families, veterans, and low-income seniors. We also support people with developmental disabilities, offer restorative justice programs, and give free HIV testing and education. VOA started in 1896. Back then, the word "volunteer" meant someone who helped others as their life’s work. Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
- Must pass background check and driver record check.
- Minimum of 1 year of sobriety.
Nice To Haves
- Maintain operational control of the facility in the absence of senior staff.
Responsibilities
- Transport program participants to and from various locations as needed, including court, doctor’s appointments, program activities, treatment, and any other services deemed appropriate by staff.
- Cover duties inside the Recovery Community Center, which may include helping to set up for events and monitoring day-to-day operations.
- Ensure client’s compliance with Volunteers of America policies and rules.
- Maintain van sign-in/sign-out log.
- Monitor clients in the van and facility and their behavior.
- Complete required documentation.
- Attend training and supervision.
- Observe and report maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Provide transportation for clients.
- Provide childcare.
- Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) duties as assigned by supervision & PQI Committee.
