About The Position

Central Oklahoma Community Mental Health Center (COCMHC), Norman, OK is currently recruiting for a Recovery Support Specialist to join their Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) Team. The PACT team goes out into the community to meet our consumers where they are at by providing resources and mental health support. This position performs a wide range of tasks to assist individuals of all ages in crisis in regaining control of their lives and recovery processes. This position requires that the applicant possess the skills to maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and interactions with all ODMHSAS staff and consumers. This position provides flexibility, including opportunities for non-standard hours that include generous shift differentials for non-standard hours.

Requirements

Currently certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (for Senior and Certified roles)
High school diploma or GED
Demonstrates personal knowledge in advocacy in recovery
Two years of PRSS experience (for Senior role)
Ability to become a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (for Recovery Support Specialist role)

Assist individuals of all ages in crisis in regaining control of their lives and recovery processes.
Maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and interactions with all ODMHSAS staff and consumers.
Provide resources and mental health support in the community.
