Community Health Alliance is looking for Peer Recovery Supporters to engage in activities with individuals that promote resiliency, recovery, self-determination, advocacy, well-being and skill development. Requirements

Must be 18 years or older
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Meet the State of Ohio requirements for Peer Recovery Supporter certification
State of Ohio Peer Recovery Supporter Certification required
Valid driver license and reliable transportation
Active listening skills
Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications, including Office Suite, Outlook and Teams
Adept at learning and navigating electronic health record systems
Must be able to maintain appropriate boundaries and ethical behavior in accordance with Peer Recovery Supporter guidelines

Responsibilities

Educates clients on the purpose of peer support and recovery models.
Provides clients with very clear definitions of recovery and its components.
Intentionally share your story as appropriate, providing hope and help in changing patterns and behavior.
Be well informed about trauma and explore with clients their experiences and support them in getting appropriate resources aide in their recovery.
Help patients develop a Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP).
Help persons in crisis explore options to benefit in recovery and maintaining stability.
Provide culturally-sensitive and age-specific services.
Focus positively on emotional growth, strengths, and recovery goals.
Encourage clients to become self-directed and focused on their strengths.
Provide resources beneficial in recovery.
