About The Position
Jim Taliaferro Community Mental Health Center (JTCMHC), Lawton, OK is currently recruiting for a Recovery Support Specialist to join their Children’s Department. This position performs a wide range of tasks to assist our facility consumers in regaining control of their lives and recovery processes. This position requires that the applicant possess the skills to maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and interactions with all ODMHSAS staff and consumers.
Requirements
- Currently certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (for Sr. Certified and Certified roles).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrates personal knowledge in advocacy in recovery.
- Two years of PRSS experience (for Sr. Certified role).
- Ability to become a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (for Recovery Support Specialist role).

- Maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and interactions with all ODMHSAS staff and consumers.
