About The Position

The Recovery Specialist is responsible for carrying out collection efforts on delinquent consumer accounts within a charged-off portfolio of accounts and for helping to maintain the portfolio of accounts by providing clerical support on the accounts. This is considered an on-site role and will report to our Wausau, WI location. The schedule will be Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. CST; one required Saturday a month. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• 2 years outbound collection experience required
• Attention to detail and accuracy required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment

Nice To Haves

• Financial industry experience preferred
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) candidates preferred

Responsibilities

• Make outbound collection attempts on a charged-off portfolio of accounts
• Successfully negotiate with consumers or authorized third parties for payment in full, settlement, or monthly payments on accounts
• Assist in clerical duties for accounts, to include but not be limited to, answering phones, entering data, filling in forms, and keeping/updating records
• Provide support in skip tracing accounts
• Submit accounts for review to be placed with 3rd party collection agencies & legal networks
