About The Position
The Recover Specialist role is responsible for preserving the Credit Union’s assets by collecting delinquent and/or charged off accounts via payment arrangements and/or making recommendations to management for legal/small claims action.
Requirements
- One to three years of similar or related experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage time and work load effectively.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working for a credit union is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Contacting delinquent and/or charged off accounts by phone, mail and email; taking appropriate action to establish payment arrangement and/or negotiating settlements with members.
- Skip tracing for new information for members including address, contact information, place of employment, assets, etc.
- Processing incoming garnishments, payment and lien releases.
- Preparing legal/small claim recommendations.
