About The Position

The Recovery Specialist is dedicated to assisting individuals in their journey towards mental health recovery. This role involves providing support, guidance, and resources to clients, empowering them to achieve personal growth and wellness. The specialist will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support for each client.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a mental health or behavioral health setting.
  • Experience in case management or recovery support services.
  • Proven track record of working with individuals with mental health disorders and substance abuse issues.
  • Strong understanding of recovery-oriented practices and mental health support systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized recovery plans.
  • Proficient in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of community resources and ability to coordinate services for clients.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic issues impacting clients' recovery processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.
  • Facilitate group sessions and workshops that promote mental health awareness and recovery strategies.
  • Provide one-on-one support and counseling to clients, helping them navigate challenges and set achievable goals.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care and ensure continuity of services.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust recovery plans as necessary to meet evolving needs and objectives.
  • Advocate for clients' needs within the community and connect them with appropriate resources and services.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and progress.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in mental health recovery.
