About The Position

The Recovery Specialist II provides care that responds to the physical and psychological needs of members served. The role provides direct and indirect services according to individual service plans and Medicaid standards. The position is on-call, with shifts available across AM (7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.), PM (3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.), and overnight (11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.); days vary as needed. The position is at Telecare MLK Adult Psychiatric Health Facility, a 16-bed acute inpatient facility serving adults aged 18 and older experiencing a mental health emergency. Admission may be voluntary or involuntary. The Recovery Specialist may use a company vehicle to transport clients to appointments and groups. Expected starting pay is $23.00 per hour. Geographic differentials may apply, and starting pay may reflect relevant experience above the minimum requirements. Hourly shift differentials are listed for PM, overnight, and weekend shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and two years of experience in a psychiatric mental health setting, or a BA/BS and one year of experience in a mental health setting.
Knowledge of basic nursing skills and interventions, and of mental and physical health conditions and terminology. CNA certification or equivalent is acceptable documentation of nursing-skills knowledge.
Valid, current driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance with the employee listed as a driver.
Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups.
