About The Position

The Recovery Specialist I is responsible for handling overpayments or reimbursement from other parties who may be liable for payment of claims. This level handles more routine issues. This role enables associate to work virtually full-time, with the exception of required in-person training sessions, providing maximum flexibility and autonomy. This approach promotes productivity, supports work-life integration, and ensures essential face-to-face onboarding and skill development. Requirements

• Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years experience in claims and/or customer service; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Nice To Haves

• FEP Claims/Adjustments experience STRONGLY PREFERRED
• Knowledge of relevant claims systems and related software and good PC skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determines and calculates amount of overpayment.
• Issues refund request letters, notice letters, or med lists.
• Processes voluntary refunds.
• Adjusts claims based on refund received.
