About The Position

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for its Recovery Room in Woodbridge, Virginia. This flexi/PRN role is on the day shift. The nurse’s primary duties include assessing and admitting patients, performing rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and taking responsibility for the overall care of assigned patients. The role involves working collaboratively with the care team to provide quality patient care. Requirements

At least 1 year of experience.
Virginia or Compact Multi-State Registered Nurse license in good standing.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
An RN Associate’s degree, RN Bachelor’s degree, RN diploma, or RN Master’s degree.

Responsibilities

Assess and admit patients.
Perform rounding checks.
Administer medications.
Communicate with patients’ family members.
Provide overall care for assigned patients.
Collaborate with the care team to support quality patient care.
