About The Position

The Recovery Home Coordinator facilitates a sound recovery environment and provides oversight to the residents in recovery homes operated by RWC. This is a third shift position. The role involves assisting the Recovery Program Manager in overseeing operations, ensuring the facility is in good repair, safe, and maintains a sound recovery environment. Key responsibilities include participating in residential intake, discharge, and care plan development, ensuring residents adhere to program policies, and maintaining a drug and alcohol-free environment. The coordinator will conduct room checks, administer drug screens, and maintain a team approach through communication and documentation. They will provide daily presence in recovery homes, assist residents with obtaining food, and participate in RWC meetings. Additionally, the role supports the Recovery Program Manager in maintaining facility certifications and licenses, completing reports for grants and funding, and collaborating with community partners and referral agencies. Professional knowledge is maintained through educational workshops and conferences. The coordinator will also report facility repair needs to the appropriate staff.

Requirements

  • Two to four years related experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required.
  • An understanding of recovery and recovery based programming with chemical dependency is helpful.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret correspondence from referral sources and other service providers.
  • Ability to correspond professionally with external agencies.
  • Ability to adequately log and document client outcomes and daily activities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with Site Manager, Community Housing Director and staff.
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical operations to such tasks as average length of stay, frequency of events/appointments, rent or other similar calculations, staff hour scheduling and leave reports, referral reports and other similar communications.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in written, mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete functions.
  • Current driver’s license.
  • Other certificates/licenses that may become necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Recovery Program Manager in overseeing the operations of the recovery homes and in assuring that the facility is in good repair, is safe, and maintains a sound recovery environment.
  • Actively participates in residential intake, discharge and care plan development.
  • Assures that all residents adhere to program and policy requirements and will routinely log outcomes and participation.
  • Will work diligently to create a safe drug and alcohol-free environment in which the residents can work towards their personal recovery.
  • Will assist with room checks and administer drug screens as directed to assure a drug and alcohol-free recovery environment.
  • Maintains a team approach through communication, documentation, following policies and planning with Recovery staff.
  • Will participate in assigned trainings and team development meetings as assigned.
  • Will assist with the provision of daily presence in recovery homes with no assigned staff as assigned via remote services.
  • Will assist residents in obtaining food.
  • Participates in RWC meetings as assigned.
  • Will assist the Recovery Program Manager in maintaining appropriate certifications and licenses for facilities.
  • Will assist in the completion of reports for grants, funding, referral sources, etc. in a timely and professional manner.
  • Will work closely with community partners and referral agencies to promote high quality and effective services by strategizing and promoting communication and cooperation.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, meetings and conferences as assigned.
  • Will inform Recovery Program Manager, CEO and Maintenance staff of repairs or updates needed in facilities.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
