About The Position

The Rappahannock Regional Jail is seeking a Part-Time Recovery Court Surveillance Officer. This role involves monitoring and testing individuals for compliance with Recovery Court requirements. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Some experience in protective services work
• Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Must pass a Drug Test
• Must pass a DMV check
• Must pass a polygraph examination

Responsibilities

• Monitors and tests individuals for compliance to Recovery Court requirements.
• Interviews program participants.
• Collects urine specimens and breath samples.
• Checks and analyzes specimens for the presence of illegal or mood-altering substances.
• Prepares and enters data and documentation of information collected.
• Coordinates monitoring services and dissemination of data with appropriate staff and agencies.
• Monitors area court records for subsequent participant offenses.
• Participates in Recovery Court team meetings.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
