This position has primary responsibility for providing direct care to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of the clients through direct and indirect physical and verbal interaction. Duties are performed under direct supervision of the Program Coordinator, or designee, in most cases, but some tasks are accomplished independently. MHRC is a 16 bed, inpatient program that provides intensive support and rehabilitative services. The individuals served are 18-64 years old with mental health struggles that have necessitated placement in a state hospital or other intensive behavioral health facility. Comprehensive behavioral health and psychiatric services are provided by a multidisciplinary team. The team supports individuals in developing the skills to become self- sufficient and increase levels of independence and functioning.

Requirements

  • A valid California Driver’s License and current automobile insurance are required. Candidates must maintain a clean driving record in alignment with the company’s eligibility policy.
  • Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHRS): Certification is preferred; however, this credential can be obtained post-hire for qualified candidates.
  • High School Diploma: Plus 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Associate degree: Plus 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Associate degree: Plus 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Plus 2 years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHRS): Certification is preferred
