About The Position

This position has primary responsibility for providing direct care to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of the clients through direct and indirect physical and verbal interaction. Duties are performed under direct supervision of the Program Coordinator, or designee, in most cases, but some tasks are accomplished independently. The Crisis Residential Program is a 24/7 voluntary residential setting specifically for Transitional Age Youth (TAY) at risk and in need of a higher level of care, but lower than a psychiatric hospital. The facility is equipped to serve up to 15 Youth and provides mental health services that include individual therapy, group rehabilitation, medication management, and case management. The role incorporates the tenets of recovery, peer support, and identifying community connections. It also involves connecting individuals to educational and vocational services and initiating the process of locating housing.

Requirements

  • Valid California Driver’s License
  • Current automobile insurance
  • Maintain a driving record that meets the company driver's eligibility policy.
  • Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHRS) certification required (can be obtained after hire).
  • Recovery Counselor I: High school diploma (or equivalent) plus one year of full-time experience in consumer-directed services within a mental health, healthcare, or social services setting.
  • Recovery Counselor II: Associate degree plus six years of experience in the mental health field.
  • Recovery Counselor II: Bachelor’s Degree (Mental Health Field) plus four years of experience in the mental health field.
  • Recovery Counselor II: Master’s Degree (Mental Health Field) plus two years of experience in the mental health field.

  • Supervision for BBS hours for AMFT, ACSW, and APCC professionals (where applicable).
